Before coming out to Latvia I quit my job as Accounts Assistant for the Anglican Communion and spent a year working for the Movement for Christian Democracy as their office manager. At the time it was apparent that they were slowly dying as an organisation. However, they survived that death and were reborn as The Centre for Christian Democracy. Occasionally stuff from them makes it way out here to Latvia and in the post today I received their latest Journal!

Why write about this? Well in the journal is news about Lord Joffe’s Assisted Dying Bill (on in other words a Euthanasia Bill) which is getting a reading in the House of Lords on 12th May 2006. Care not Killing (CNK) are organising a petition and it seemed a good idea to promote it here! For those of you who read this from the UK have a look at the site and do something about it!
