Pilgrim Soldier

During my school years I always struggled to make friends and there were many times that I felt incredibly lonely. Maybe it was the fact that we moved around so much that I never really got time to settle and kept people at arms length so that I wouldn’t get hurt when we moved on.

In hindsight I can see that I spent much of my early adult life doing the same thing.

Now things have changed! God has blessed me with so many good friends that this evening I feel humbled by it. We’ve just spent a good 4 hours at our new friends house and not only have we spent time together, but the children of the 3 families that were there have spent time playing and having fun as well. I can’t believe just how privileged I feel to know and care about these people who share our lives here in Latvia.

With our friends back home as well we are being extremely blessed by God, and I pray that I will never take it for granted!
