Apparently James Cameron and an Israeli documentary maker Simcha Jacobovici are about to release information about a new docu-drama about the burial site of Jesus. You can read more at The Times and then follow the links. I suspect that this will run and run, but does anyone else wonder at the fact that there must have been numerous people by the name of Jesus, Mary, Joseph and Judas in Jerusalem at the time of our Jesus?

Yes, I see the Church as the body of Christ. But, oh! How we have blemished and scarred that body through social neglect and through fear of being nonconformists. (Martin Luther King jr)

I cracked up when I read that item. There isn’t a Jewish family in Hendon/Golders Green/Stamford Hill/Salford/Gateshead that doesn’t have a Miriam, Yosef, Josh and Yehuda! They are like Jones, and Brown in the phone book in the Jewish community. They are loved and ancient names. But people will believe any nonsense the media puts out, (often while not believing the solid science that appears). It is actually quite a problem in the frum community that families tend to draw on a relatively small number of first names. It has led to the need to double, like my newborn grandson, who I think will be Moishe Aryeh - they are still deciding. I had to give all mine doubles or it would have been impossible!
