Hi Graeme, I look for your blog all the time and should write to say thank you.
I had a chuckle this morning about the clapping.
It depends on my mood often. Sometimes I can’t stop from clapping and other times I stand like a statue.
Nothing like a good up beat meeting to improve our moods and start our hands clapping and our toes tapping.( Sometimes it takes to the last verse of the last song.. oh, I am getting old. )

The even more radical approach of course is to stand there through the rather sober singing in church, then come home and sing the songs all over again but this time with dancing, clapping, shakers, djembe drums, flags, streamers and anything else that helps it really rock….
(that’s legal and permitted of course, real Cornish Ale is sadly off the menu. )
The real praise should go to Gordon for raising such an important
issue in the first place.
Maybe I’m getting old but sometimes with the amount of clapping we do my hands end up hurting!
