Well last night was my first Candidate’s Board (part of the process for entering training to be a Salvation Army Officer) here in the UK and it seemed to go very well. The current plan is continue as things are at the moment and that over the coming months I’ll continue to be assessed. The hope is that I will go to an Assessment Conference in March or April and, the Lord and The Salvation Army willing, this time I will be accepted and enter training in September 2008.
It was good to be able to share how I felt earlier this year with the people doing the interview, especially as one has been so closely involved in the whole process for me, and it simply reconfirmed my certainty about God’s future plans.
On an aside we went together to the Cadet’s Welcome meeting in London last Saturday and once again I got this absolute certainty that I was not supposed to be in the college this year. It was great to see Patrik & Hanna as well as meet up with a couple who were assessed with me back in February. We also saw a number of good friends who we haven’t seen for quite awhile, two who I had not seen since before leaving for Latvia.
