Well this is a total geek thing to admit but I am writing this post from a dedicated programme on my iPod touch! Only someone who loves technical things would understand why this is so cool, but it is!
It means that I can now post from anywhere that I can connect to a wireless network without having to have my notebook with me. Just have to cope with the ridiculously small keyboard!
Sorry that’s the geek alert over and done with now!
Back up and blogging again after losing my old computer and having to buy a cheap new one!
I’m afraid I won’t be posting for a few days because my laptop is in the repair shop as it won’t start on either the main power or battery! Hopefully I’ll get it back on either Friday or Saturday so I don’t have to write another post like this on my iPod Touch!
It seems that somehow I have managed to turn the RSS feed off after upgrading a plugin on the blog. So if you missed anything my apologies!
As well as being 6 months since we got back to the UK I’ve just realised that last Saturday saw the second anniversary of me launching my first personal blog. As is made clear by the last post this year has been a year of change, including a change of name for the blog.
All this change has meant a reduction in the number of posts I’ve written, but I still enjoy recording my thoughts down in this medium. Its also been nice to interact occasionally with people of the back of my thoughts, so thank you those who have commented in the past and feel free to do so again in the future!
Those of you who aren’t reading this post in some sort of RSS feeder1 will see that I’ve changed the theme of this blog to a new one. I wanted something that would be fresh and new and feel that this new design gives a bit of that to the site!
On another note you will see a new link to the left under Navigation called ‘Reading’. For ages I’ve wanted to record the books I read in some central place and this seems as good as any. I’m also going to try to review the books I read, mainly for my own reference but hopefully it’ll be useful to others as well. I’m not the words greatest reviewer though!

Yesterday the Broadband box arrived but I was in Bournemouth for the official welcome to our Divisional Commanders! Today after an induction day at DHQ I have set it up and we are now officially back online, complete with a secure wireless connection. This might mean that we will now be able to update more often.
